Boys vs. Girls???

Becoming a mom to a girl, seems to be a totally new experience, although I've noticed every time I've become a mom there have been new experiences because each child is different.  Some things seem to be extremely different though when it comes to my daughter Maya vs. my boys.  When I ask the boys to get ready to go, Maya jumps at the opportunity to bring me her shoes and socks, and she gets ready to go.  My boys either continue to do what they were doing or just stare at me blankly.

A couple days ago I went shopping for some things at Walmart and found a large Mario plush doll.  I was excited since I knew Connor had wanted this for his birthday.  I grabbed it and bought it.  When I got it out of the car, I decided to put it on the top shelf in the garage next to my car.  It's in plain view, but as I said before my boys are pretty oblivious to, well, everything.  So I figured it was fine to be there at least for now.

After picking up the boys from school I got my two year old Maya out of the car and she immediately spotted the plush toy and yelled, "Mario, Mario!!!  I want Mario!!!"  I ran away with her screaming for him so the boys wouldn't get suspicious and see the birthday present.  Well, they didn't even care that Maya was crying.  They had no clue.

I guess there are some positives to their obliviousness!!
