Our first little trip was to see the town that was closest to Prickwillow where Thomas and Courtney were living, Ely. It has a beautiful Cathedral. The first thing Connor noticed was Jesus painted on the ceiling. He was amazed. We pet the donkeys, and even made it to a small park where there was a band playing! Connor and Aaron immediately recognized when they started playing Pirates of the Caribbean. Connor was dancing and running around the playground he was so excited. The sun was out, so all the guys had their shirts off to soak in the sun.
Maya actually hit a funny milestone while we were walking through the park. Courtney and I were walking with her, and she noticed her shadow. She kept trying to make it go away, and run away from it, and would laugh when she would turn around and see it was still there. That was pretty hilarious!
Later that evening Courtney and Thomas watched the boys so Brian and I could eat at a little pub downtown there. We even brought Maya with us, and when we tipped they looked at us funny. I guess they're not used to tipping there.
I think Aaron spent most of the time on someone's shoulders or in the stroller. One more year I think he would have been able to handle the amount of walking a little more!!
