Edinburgh

After a few more days with Thomas and Courtney we headed north to Scotland on a family adventure of our own.  The trains were nice since they had tables that made it easier to setup activities for the kids.  We had to change trains once, and with all of our luggage it started getting a bit complicated, but we made it with little trouble.

When we arrived in Edinburgh, we tried to find our apartment with no luck.  According to the maps it was only a 10th of a mile from the train station, but it might as well have been miles with children.  Thankfully taxis were super cheap compared to London, and after one detour we made it to the apartment.  We were in love!!!  It was huge!!

I enjoyed drinking tea and watching the people walking below.  We even heard someone playing bagpipes across the street.

The next morning we would walked down the royal mile to tour the castle.  Our hotel was in the perfect position.  We loved exploring the castle grounds, and even saw a cannon shoot.

Walking to the Castle

Maya was a little crabby

Aaron came and helped entertain her while Daddy got the tickets.

Aaron and Connor loved the cannons

Aaron, Connor & Mommy went down into the dungeons.

After we finished the castle tour we had seen a museum on the way in that seemed pretty interesting.  We decided to check it out and we're so glad we did.  There were so many interesting things, and the kids had a blast.  Aaron loved the fart chair, and Connor loved the table that looked like your head was on a platter and the mirror maze.  Maya really liked the mirror ball at the beginning of the museum but didn't like the spinning tube.

Connor got a picture with this Scottish warrior.

Mirror Maze!!

We ended the day trying some Haggas (Maya loved it) and trying on some outfits.  As you can see, Aaron was tuckered out!!
